“A String of Unfortunate Events” is an apology letter written by Nick Burchill addressed to the Empress Hotel, in an attempt to explain his side of the story and lift his 18-year ban. Seagull Book re-tells the story in the form of a news-print accordion book, where every spread opens up into a poster as the reader recounts the events through Nick’s point of view.
